Infosys projects growth for 2010

Bangalore, April 15 : Infosys Technologies Ltd has projected consolidated income of Rupees.221-229 billion (Rupees.22,066-22,928 crore) for the new fiscal (2009-10), indicating a single digit growth of 1.7-5.7 percent over the last fiscal (2008-09) as per the Indian accounting Standard
In a regulatory filing Wednesday, the IT bellwether said the earnings per share (EPS) for FY 2010 were expected to be in the range of Rs.96.95-101.18, a decline of 7.6-3.3 percent YoY.

Under the International Financial Reporting Standard (IF RS), consolidated revenues for fiscal 2010 are expected to be $4.35-4.52 billion, a decline of 6.7-3.1 percent YoY.

Similarly, for the first quarter (April-June) of this fiscal (2009-10), consolidated income is expected to be Rs.53.79-54.80 billion (Rs.5,379-5,480 crore), a modest growth of 10.8-12.9 percent YoY under the Indian accounting standard.

Sachin Tendulkar excited about IPL

Noida (UP), Apr 15 : Indian cricket team's star batsman Sachin Tendulkar avoided debate over the venue of this year's edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Further, he asserted that as the skipper of Mumbai Indians, he is eager to regale the supporters of his team despite the matches being played in South Africa.

When persisted by journalists for his comments on the government's inability to provide security for the IPL extravaganza, Tendulkar said, "I am sure the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the concerned guys must have tried their best. It's just coincided with the elections. I don't think by shifting the tournaments South Africa there will be any less interest.
